Public Health (MPH) + Knowledge Translation (MScBMC) = Passion for mobilizing the knowledge-to-action pipeline!
My unique educational background and work experience has provided me with a specialized perspective on how the integration of evidence-based knowledge translation strategies can mobilize research into action within the public health sphere. I am passionate about acting as a knowledge broker between knowledge makers and users - using scientific expertise, relationship-building skills, and message framing to advance social action and public policy agendas.
My perfect work-day:
Developing and implementing knowledge translation strategies that consider:
a) WHY sharing evidence is important, b) WHO needs to hear the evidence to mobilize change, c) WHICH partnerships are vital, d) WHAT are the barriers and facilitators to knowledge use and uptake, e) WHAT are the current political landscapes and organizational contexts, and f) HOW do these factors influence dissemination priorities, message framing, and timelines.
Strategies often involve the development of materials, tools, and activities, including:
reports, presentations, infographics, animations, applications, social media strategies, workshops, symposiums, and media engagements
- always aiming to enable and empower action-based solutions.
Let's work together!
